- Van Tenney Added 2017-07-11★ ★ ★ ★ ★My wife and I just completed a 5 week trip through British Columbia, Yukon and Alaska. We traveled 7,714 miles and saw many incredible sites. We loved it all but perhaps one of the most unexpected and engaging stops was at the St. Laszlo winery in Keremeos. The owner and vitner, Joe Ritlop Jr. and his mother, were a delight to talk to and learn from. Joe's knowledge ranged from wine-making to fishing, hunting and Canadian politics and he delivered his thoughts in a calm and respectful manner. The wine was superb. Ask him for a sip of his special dessert wine made from walnut shells, absolutely amazing. We agreed to return next year for more wine and some fishing instructions!
